Review of Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm in Enticing: The Tenth Day of Christmas

Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm in Entice.

This product has been hyped like crazy, and with good reason. Don't you love it when a drugstore product brings it? I picked this up at Shoppers Drug Mart about a week ago, and I'm thinking I might need a couple more…

Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm is a semi-sheer, shiny lip colour. Packaing-wise, it's similar to Clinique Chubby Stick, but the colour is more opaque, the product is more moisturizing, and it's about half the price. Yeah.

I picked up Entice, thinking it would be a fun, warm brick-red. It's bold, but less bold (and more wearable) than a traditional red lip. Have a look:

Comparison swatches (top to bottom): Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm in Entice, MAC Lipglass in Hellbound, and MAC Lustre Lipstick in Oh, Oh, Oh.

Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm applied heavily. A lighter application would result in sheerer colour.

The verdict: A great product. A tad pricey, but only by drugstore standards. It averages $10 or $11 Canadian.

Rating: Four and a half stars out of five.

Available: Drugstores and other retailers that sell drugstore-caliber cosmetics, including Shoppers Drug Mart and London Drugs, for about $10 or $11 Canadian.

Have you tried any of Revlon's Colorburst Lacquer Balms? What are your favourites?

Happy tenth day of Christmas! See you tomorrow.
