Clarins Smoky Plum Ombre Mineral Mono Eyeshadow: Review and Photos

Clarins Smoky Plum Ombre Minéral Mono Eyeshadow.

Clarins Smoky Plum Mono Mineral Eyeshadow, part of Clarins' Opalescence spring collection, is, hands-down, one of my spring favourites. It's my first Clarins purchase, and if it's an indication of their other products, I'm in big trouble!

Karen over at Makeup and Beauty Blog  made me fall in love with her stunning smoky eye photos. After I swatched it, I was sold. The shimmery colour is gorgeous, and so complex—a mix of grey, silver, taupe, brown, and purple. Truly the perfect smoky eye colour.

The quality is beautiful, too. It wears well all day over a primer, it applies softly and evenly, and it blends easily. One of my favourite things about it is how well it applies both wet and dry. In the look below, I applied it dry on the lid and wet in the crease for more depth.

Here's what it looks like:

The verdict: Love this product. Enough said.

Rating: Five stars out of five. I can find nothing to complain about in this eyeshadow. My one suggestion would be to ditch the foam applicator it comes with (who uses those?) and bring the price down.

Available: Clarins counters, including Hudson's Bay, and clarins.ca for $22 Canadian. You get 2 grams of product, which puts it right around the price of a MAC eyeshadow.

Have you tried Clarins Smoky Plum Eyeshadow? What do you think? Link to your looks below if you have. I'd love to see them!
