Make Up For Ever Artist Plexi-Gloss: Review and Photos

Make Up For Ever Artist Plexi-Gloss in (left to right) in 201, 208P and 405P.

I'm not usually a lip gloss person. Too sticky. Too fussy. Too reminiscent of the way over-lacquered lips that were so popular in high school. But you know what? I really, really like Make Up For Ever's Artist Plexi-Gloss. Three different shades have been hanging around in my purse (and on my lips) for weeks! In fact, I'm wearing one as I type...

Unlike the infamous MAC Lipglass, MUFE's new gloss isn't too sticky. I love how it feels. I wouldn't call it long-wearing, but the texture—a little thicker and firmer than the average drugstore gloss, but not too thick—lends itself to lasting longer than average on me. Depending on the shade, it also packs enough pigment to replace lipstick, and I don't need a mirror to apply. Plus, the fancy applicator really is easier to use than a typical doe-foot wand!

I received these colours to try:

  • 201, a sheer baby-pink
  • 208P, a cool-toned bubblegum pink with silver glitter
  • 405P, a purplish berry-red with multi-coloured glitter
    (my favourite!)

Here's what they look like:
