I'm a brown eyeshadow fanatic. If I see one that's just a leeeeetle different from one (of many) I already have, I start fantasizing about it. It's so versatile. So wearable. And it (usually) makes my green eyes pop.

Add something new and unique, such as a mousse-like texture, to the mix, and I'm done for.

Enter Lise Watier Ombre Souffle Supreme in Taupe Fantasia. Hello, my lovely.

Are you familiar with Lise Watier? It's a French brand that's quite common in Canada. They have some beautiful products. American friends, don't fret. You can order online

The product is a soft, velvety, blendable, mousse-like cream eyeshadow. Lise Watier's website describes it as an "air-whipped texture." I'd say that's about right.

For a better idea of the texture and how it applies and wears, have a quick look at my video below!

The colour is a lovely rose-gold taupe with lots of silver shimmer. It applies incredibly easily, and it doesn't set so quickly you can't blend to your heart's content. It comes with a sponge applicator, but I'd discard it and use a brush or your fingers (I use my fingers). I'd say the wear time is seven or eight hours before I notice creasing.

Ready for a look?

Lise Watier's Ombre Souffle Supreme eyeshadow comes in a glass jar with a screwtop lid. It's a little smaller and lighter than a MAC Paint Pot. It comes with a (useless) sponge tip applicator, and you get four grams of product.

Overall, I quite like it! It's ideal for days when I'm in a hurry and I want a quick, neutral eye with minimal effort. I pop it on with a bit of black eyeliner and mascara, and I'm good to go.

Would I repurchase? Given the current size of my eyeshadow collection, chances of me hitting the bottom of the pot on this anytime in the near future are slim to nil. But I do quite like the colour—if I did finish it, I'd consider repurchasing.

Rating: Three stars out of five. I'd like staying power to be a wee bit better.

Available: In Canada, it's available at Shoppers Drug Mart, London Drugs, and several other drug and department stores. You can also find it online for $24 Canadian.
