This eyeshadow made its way into my makeup bag after a whole lot of patience. Brazenly and I made each other's acquaintance while a MAC make-up artist was doing my makeup with the Baking Beauties collection (note: it looks fantastic with Eclair Paint Pot). I didn't pick it up then, thinking it would be around for awhile.
I lost that gamble. It was the first eyeshadow to sell out of the PRO-only Nudes and Metallics Collection at my local PRO store. Sigh.
Fortunately, two months of stalking paid off: I ordered it by phone mid-June, and I've been enjoying it for a few weeks now. You can too—MAC has finally released it online!
Brazenly is everything that is dear and good about MAC eyeshadow. The texture is like velvet. It applies like butter. The pigmentation is intense. The deep, intense metallic purple colour is perfect. It blends like a dream and lasts all day.
That is, I kind of like this eyeshadow.
If any of the other colours from the Nudes and Metallics Collection catch your eye, grab them. Maybe it's because it's a PRO collection, but the quality is stellar. (If you're curious, I also picked up a colour from the nudes part of the collection—Glimpse of Flesh. I wrote a mini-review on it as part of this "My Favourite Things" post.)
Ready for a quick look? I apologize for the small number of product photos—I depotted it and added it to my palette before photographing it thoroughly (oops). But the packaging is standard MAC—a small black pot.
Would I repurchase? I would love to! But it's limited edition. Maybe they'll bring it back! A girl can hope.
Rating: This is probably the best-quality eyeshadow I've seen from MAC; I have no complaints (beyond the fact that it isn't permanent). Five stars out of five.
Available: You can find it at Maccosmetics.com for $18 Canadian.
