A Face of the Day Featuring Too Faced's Chocolate Bar Palette and Charlotte Tilbury's Bar of Gold and Matte Revolution Lipstick in Bond Girl

This is how I feel about my latest Charlotte Tilbury haul!

I've been shopping again, and it's all so lovely! Is there anything better than trying on a new lipstick or eye palette for the first time?

Here's a face of the day I put together with a few new baubles (as a few old tried-and-true ones).

NARS Smudge-Proof Eyeshadow Base. This is so good I've felt no need to repurchase my recently finished Paint Pot in Painterly (MAC).

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette. It's too soon for a full review, but so far I think this is going to be a new favourite. All the shades I've tried are soft, pigmented and lovely, and I just want to put them all on at once!

Maybelline Lash Sensational Luscious Full Fan Effect Mascara (Black). I'm still on the fence about whether I like this better than the original Lash Sensational. This mascara seems to volumize more than Lash Sensational, but I remember Lash Sensational fanning out my lashes a bit better. I prefer the brush on Lash Sensational for that reason. Stay tuned...

Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in Black Ink. So far I'm not sure whether I like this better than MAC Blacktrack. I'm told it lasts longer in the pot. We shall see.

Nivea for Men Sensitive Skin After-Shave Balm. I've used this twice, and I'm still on the fence. It seems to keep my makeup looking fresh everywhere but my nose—oil production there is at least as much of a problem there as usual. I'm going to keep trying, and maybe keep it off of my nose...

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Foundation in R220. Love this stuff. You can see it in action in my video.

Bobbi Brown Corrector in Light Peach. This does a good job of correcting the crazy-dark circles under my eyes, but I wish it would brighten more.

Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Radiant Touch in #1 (just a sample). I used this under my eyes and on my cheekbones to brighten. Not bad!

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Concealer in R20. (PR sample.) The coverage and finish on this is stunning, but I may like it even better paired with a yellow-toned shade. It's in the mail. ;)

Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder. The best thing for setting under-eye concealer—unless I can find something even more finely milled, I'm sticking with it! I still can't seem to keep my under-eyes looking youthful and dewy throughout the day...

NARS Loose Powder in Flesh. Old formula (discontinued). Nice coverage, finish and oil control.

Diorshow Brow Styler in Universal Brown. The colour and packaging are great, but it's softer—and consequently not as long-lasting—as my beloved Anastasia Brow Wiz.

Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting Brow Mascara in Transparent. I got this because I stubbornly refused to spend $30 on the Anastasia Clear Brow Gel. It's okay. Just okay. It doesn't hold my brows in place as well as I would like. I may need to cave and try Anastasia's concoction after all. I can hold out until the spring VIB sale! I can!

Illamasqua Cream Pigment in Hollow. I'm trying to use cream products more—I find them a tad more work, but they look so lovely! This product is the perfect subtle contour shade for pale, cool-toned skin like mine.

Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow (just the bronze shade). LOVE this. No secret. I layered it over Hollow for a tad more definition.

Clinique Cheek Pop Blush in Heather Pop. This formula is the perfect combo of cream and powder, and this mauvey-pinky-browny colour goes with everything. Love it.

Charlotte Tilbury Bar of Gold. Be still, my heart. This is so beautiful—even with the cheapo cardboard packaging. I was worried it would be too warm and/or too intense for my skin, but it's not! Love it so far. I put it on hours ago, and it's still going!

Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Bond Girl. This is always sold out at both the Holt Renfew and Nordstrom counters, and I can see why. It's a perfect brown-but-not-too-brown rosy nude that I think will go with a lot, and it's ever so reminiscent of my high school (90s) days. Plus, it's not drying whatsoever, and it smells lovely! Mmmmmm....worth the few months I waited.

Have you tried any of these products? What have you bought lately that you're especially excited about? Let me know in the comments!
