Sales kill me. They really do. And the evil marketers know it!
I picked up Illamasqua Hussy at Hudson's Bay a few weeks ago at their Illamasqua clear-out sale. The brand is pulling out of North America (*sob*), so I figured then was a good time to nab Hussy, an incredibly smooth, pigmented, matte shade of pinky peach. It's a warmer colour, but it works on my cool-toned skin.
I recommend a light hand and a sparser brush—something like the Real Techniques blush brush. Just a tap or two in the pan is all you need, then blend, blend blend. The colour lasts all day!
The verdict: If you don't mind pigment that packs a wallop (requiring a bit more care with application), you can't beat Illamasqua blushers.
Rating: Four and a half stars out of five. I'd like slightly more compact packaging, but that's my only complaint.
Available: Alas, if you're in North America, you'll need to go to Illamasqua.com.
Have you tried any of Illamasqua's blushers? What do you think?
