In the beauty blogosphere, we spend a lot of time talking about what we need (read: WANT) to spend our money on. But what about what we DON'T want to spend our money on? Inspired by Kimberly Clark and The Anna Edit, I've decided to try my hand at a makeup anti-haul video. Watch and let me know what you think in the comments! I'd also love to know what YOU aren't planning to buy. Maybe we can save each other a few precious pennies. Enjoy!
If you watch YouTube at all, you've probably seen Jaclyn Hill's Ride or Die Makeup Tag, as well as the videos that followed. (How many have you watched?) I couldn't resist joining the fun. If you've been reading my blog awhile you can probably name many of my "Ride or Die" products. Any guesses? :)
What are your "Ride or Die" (also known as "Holy Grail" or simply "Favourite") makeup products? I tag you! If you don't vlog, no worries. Blog it and leave me the link, or even just name a few of your favourites in the comments. I'd love to read them.
Disclosure: Nearly all of the mentioned products were purchased by Eyeshadow Addict. Opinions are my own.
So many products, so little time. So few ideas on how to write creatively about a foundation or an eyeshadow. Sometimes you just have to show the world what a product can do, you know? There are a few new products I wanted to tell you about, so I thought I'd put them together in this "Get Ready With Me" video. I talk a little about each product I apply here, but I want to draw your attention in particular to these four new and shiny things:
- Make Up For Ever's Water Blend Face & Body Foundation. It's sheer, natural, and comfortable to wear. Very similar to MAC's Face and Body, but a touch more sheer.
- Make Up For Ever's Excessive Lash Arresting Volume Mascara. Nice and black with an easy brush and a longwearing formula, but just average length and volume.
- Charlotte Tilbury's Legendary Muse Luxury Palette. It's Charlotte Tilbury, so I had to buy it. (You get me, right?) The colours aren't as varied as they are in her other palettes, but it makes for a beautiful sunset eye for summertime.
- Charlotte Tilbury's Hot Lips Lipstick in Secret Salma. Charlotte's Matte Revolution formula is the only matte colour I can tolerate. The colour is a muted, rosy pink with some warmth. Lovely.
Have you tried any of these products? Let me know what you think in the comments!
